Sustainability Solutions Exchange
SSX, or Sustainability Solutions Xchange, is a trade event focusing on green growth, providing education and access to sustainable products. The conference, held online over three days, showcased exhibitors' solutions on the digital platform Hopin. The SSX team organized workshops to educate the CITEM team on sustainability and data gathering, producing data stories tailored to stakeholders' needs. Circulo collaborated closely with the CITEM communications team for promotional activities.
About SSX
SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS XCHANGE is a trade event that is programmed to drive businesses to transition toward green growth by providing education and access to sustainable products and solutions.
The exhibition aims to enable and equip sustainable, export-ready Philippine companies. It will feature products, services and solutions from around the globe. Alongside the exhibition is a conference which is designed to educate and elevate; to allow for conversations on topics that are grounded in business and sustainability among industry experts, policymakers, and the general public.
The Program
In its first year, the Sustainability Solutions Exchange (SSX) aims to address key areas to support responsible and sustainable consumption and production, from opportunities and challenges to solutions and systems in practice. This online conference brings together business leaders, sustainability practitioners, and policymakers to discuss how they have adapted to change and explored key opportunities for Philippine MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises).
Over the course of 3 days, the conference will be held alongside an expo component where exhibitors will showcase their solutions and products in the digital platform Hopin.
Communications and Data Gathering
We wanted to solidify the program to support its run long-term. In doing so, it had to be anchored on a solid foundation through education and data gathering.
Our team organized a design thinking workshop and a data visualization workshop with Thinking Machines for the CITEM team. This was crucial because the team who will be running the show needed a better grasp on what sustainability is - in concept and in practice.
Another crucial part is data - we wanted to anchor the program with what the stakeholders and Philippine MSMEs need. Our partner, MAGO Analytics was able to gather and produce five data stories: 1) Hunger and Food waste, 2) Sustainable Fashion in PH, 3) Ukay Ukay 4) Plastic Recycling and 5) Climate Change.
From laying the ground work, we worked closely with the communications team of CITEM for articles, stories, social media posts and promotions.
