Philippines for Nuclear Energy?
Nuclear energy generates zero direct CO2 emissions and is already powering 10% of the world’s electricity, making it a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels. But does that mean it's the best path forward for a sustainable future?
On one hand, nuclear offers reliable, constant energy, something wind, and solar can’t always provide due to their dependence on weather. But on the other hand, the challenges of radioactive waste and the potential risks of accidents leave many wondering if it’s truly a safe source of energy.
Some countries, like France, have embraced nuclear energy as a major part of their low-carbon grid, while others are hesitant due to long-term safety concerns. So, where does nuclear stand in the debate on clean energy?
Could it be the solution to our climate crisis, or does its potential risk hold us back?
What do you think? Can nuclear energy pave the way to a cleaner future, or should we look elsewhere?
