Emerging Islands: Plastic Passages

We're thrilled to be collaborating with the photographer Mandy Barker (@mandybarkerphotography) for our upcoming residency programming. Her work, which invites the viewer to take a critical look at marine plastic debris that she has collected from the ocean, has been shown in the MoMA and the UN headquarters, and has been published globally. David Attenborough describes ‘renewed wonder’ in engaging with her work.

We are excited to invite Filipino photographers to join us on Feb 24-Mar 2 for our upcoming workshop with Mandy Barker, co-mentored by Emerging Islands’ Hannah Reyes Morales (@hannahreyesmorales). Join us for an intensive workshop and receive guidance around visualizing climate issues, forming ideas for projects, and editing work. The workshop is tuition free, and made possible with support from the British Council @phbritish.

We're accepting a limited number of students. Apply now - deadine is Feb 20. Link in our bio for more details.
