Advancing Renewable Energy: Wind and Solar Development in the Philippines

With a strong commitment to renewable energy, the Philippines aims to increase its share of renewables in the power mix to 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040. Currently at 29%, the country is witnessing significant growth in wind energy, with installed capacity expected to nearly double in the next five years.

Initiatives like the Offshore Wind Development Roadmap highlight the nation's aspirations, targeting substantial offshore wind capacity by 2040. Projects such as Bangui, Burgos, and Pililla demonstrate progress towards sustainability. Leveraging its geographical advantages and fostering innovation, the Philippines is on track for a greener, more resilient energy future, inviting stakeholders to contribute to shaping a cleaner tomorrow.
